This unit, The Cork Cottage is part of a duplex and the other unit in the duplex is vacant and kept available for unexpected situations. The attached unit is not currently available to book. It's a stylish retreat perfect for your stay. As a duplex, it is our goal to create an enjoyable and peaceful stay for all of our guests and tenants. Unwind in the comfort of two king beds, each bedroom is equipped with an individual heating thermostat and a window AC unit for personalized comfort. Our full kitchen, stocked with all your cooking needs, features a generous-sized refrigerator. Gather around the kitchen table with seating for four, creating a perfect setting for meals and shared moments. Immerse yourself in beautiful decor, enjoy entertainment on a Roku Smart TV, and stay connected with high-speed WiFi. Indulge at the expansive coffee bar, and in the evening, bask in the glow of your private firepit surrounded by charming string lights. Other Details to Note

Country Living Reminders: Please refrain from putting anything other than toilet paper in the toilet, we are on a septic system. We are also on well water. There is a water softener filtration system in place, but you may still notice a sulfur smell (this is very common in the Finger Lakes). The water has been tested and is potable (safe for drinking, washing, bathing, etc.). For your convenience, we offer a Brita Water Purifier. In addition, being that we are located in a prime location on the Seneca Lake Wine Trail, our guests should expect to hear road noise at times. Our 7-acre property, situated in a picturesque rural country setting, features a gravel driveway that enhances its charm and accessibility. Although we have a pest control service in place, you might still notice some flies/insects around the property due to our country setting and proximity to Seneca Lake. We appreciate your understanding and efforts to keep the doors closed as much as possible to help manage this. We do not provide firewood for the fire pit so please remember to bring your own. Firewood can usually be purchased at Ovid Big M, Fastrac in Ovid or local roadside stands (in season). There is one ROKU smart TV in the living room. Please reference our guidebook, which will be sent to you after booking and closer to your arrival for more information. There are no TV's in the bedrooms. Some lights in the main living areas and kitchen have dimmers. If the light is not going on, make sure to turn the dimmer slider up. The string lights above the fire pit are solar. You do not have to plug in/turn anything on. They will automatically come on at dusk. Our lawn maintenance company cuts our grass once a week from April through November. They typically cut the grass on Thursday's however, weather can change that. Tim is wonderful and typically cuts the lawn sometime between 10 AM and 3 PM as to not disturb our guests. Please reach out to Stephanie if you would like to know which day our lawn service will be there during your stay. Our waste management company visits every other week on Thursday's for garbage removal.

- Maximum occupancy is 4 adults This property is on a septic system, do not flush anything except toilet paper down the toilet as it will cause a clog and damage the system- No wipes or other hygiene products should be flushed - No pets: unauthorized pet fee $500 per pet - You may smoke only outside. If it is discovered that a guest smoked inside, guest will be charged an additional $750 cleaning fee, plus any damages. -No unauthorized guests/visitors. All guests/visitors must be approved by the host. Any unauthorized guests/visitors will be charged $250 per person. -We have external security cameras on our property to ensure the safety of all guests. Do not tamper with the cameras or cover them up in any way. Non-compliance will result in guest removal from the property and the entire reservation being canceled without a refund. -No fireworks of any kind are allowed to be set off on our property. -Any guest booking our property through their Airbnb account must be staying as a guest on the property. -Please be mindful of our quiet hours of 10 PM- 8 AM -No EV charging

Guest access

Guests will enjoy the entire rental unit (one side of the duplex) with the exception of the locked owners closet. In addition, guests have access to their own firepit area with four adirondack chairs. Just follow the gravel pathway from your front porch! We conveniently utilize smart locks for simple, front door entry to the unit.

Michael’s place was great, very relaxing and comfy place. Was also very clean, and there is a lot of vineyards around that are a ton of fun and the local area has some amazing sights to see. Any questions I had Michael was very quick to respond with very helpful information about my stay. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a nice get away and I will certainly be back!

Lovely little place, sincerely appreciate the both rooms had king beds. The cornfield next to the duplexes extremely scenic. This is very close to Watkins Glen and about a dozen wineries. Hosts were responsive and kind. Would gladly come back again for another cozy weekend in.
